Chicago legend DJ Pope has been djing since 1979, playing everything from house to hip-hop, to reggae and R 'n' B. He got his first big break warming up for Frankie Knuckles in the early 80's and has remained a prominent force on the house circuit ever since. His latest release 'Loving You' channels the many influences from his illustrious and long-lasting career. His Sound Of Baltimore Vocal that opens the release is a stripped back and elegant house track that highlights Unqle Chriz's soft and soulful tones. The Jazz-N-Groove Re-Work continues to champion the vocal, upping the tempo and introducing subtle effects that make the record more dancefloor focussed. This release sounds like it could be straight from the classics of the Soulfuric catalogue, and one not to be missed.
